Yash Dev Upadhyaya, Managing Partner
Yash Dev Upadhyaya is the founding Managing Partner of YDU Legal Consultants FZC LLC. He is a highly accomplished UAE-based disputes lawyer with over seven years of post-qualification experience spanning both India and the United Arab Emirates. His practice is concentrated on management of DIFC and Dubai Courts litigation, DFSA regulatory complaints, international arbitration, and cross-border enforcement, and he is recognized for his precise legal drafting and strategic litigation insight across both common and civil law systems.
Yash holds a Master of Laws from the London School of Economics and Political Science, a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Rights Law from the National Law School of India University (Bangalore), and a Bachelor of Laws from Amity Law School, Amity University (Delhi). Prior to establishing YDU Legal, Yash was part of a multi-specialized legal team in Dubai, where he managed complex commercial disputes in the DIFC Courts, diverse caseload across the Dubai Courts, and high-profile ICC and LCIA arbitrations. His career achievements include securing multi-million dirham judgments for high-net-worth individuals, obtaining favorable rulings on novel jurisdictional questions in the DIFC, and successfully defending multi-billion dollar corporations in widely publicized trials.
